Pie ala road

The ARCC celebrated its having reached 1000 members with Pie in the Plaza yesterday afternoon. Setting the stage involved ladders, pie towers and teamwork. (A couple of juicy items from the Davidson Brothers menu didn't hurt either. Thanks Chef Larry.)

As Jeremy Davis of North Country Weather predicted, it was sunny.
People arrived for pie and Rock Hill Bake House bread as fast as the staff was able to put them out. When all was said and done more than 300 people attended the event. A bit of simple math suggests that many of those 300 people ate 2.5 pies.

Dave Caruso of Stewart's Shops smiles as Chris Scoville owner of Scoville Jewelers enjoys a pie and Todd Shimkus, ARCC President, washes his down with his signature beverage of choice - Mountain Dew.

Claudia Cedrone, daughter of ARCC Board Chair Carl Cedrone, was one of many kids eating pie and dancing to the music of Baskin & Murphy.

Maureen and Jack O'Brien came down for pie and fun in the plaza.

Briar Magee, Red Sox fan and daughter of Sean Magee of Trampoline Design and Amanda Magee of the ARCC, did her best to put a dent in the pie stock.

As the Plaza was returned to its original state there were several flats of pies left which Todd Shimkus drove over to the Glens Falls Youth Center and the Salvation Army.

Once again, thank to all of our members who helped contribute to making it to 1000. Here's hoping we'll soon assume the ranking of 3rd largest chamber of commerce in the Capital Region.
