Don't Look Now Rensselaer County

We're right behind you
and gaining fast.

The
Business Review’s annual Chamber of Commerce List is out and the ARCC has risen from the 6th largest chamber in the Capital District in 2006 to the 4th largest chamber with more than 1,000 members as of June 16th.

The ARCC was the 8th largest chamber in the Business Review’s list in 2004. For 2007, the Saratoga County Chamber remains in 1st with over 3,000 members followed by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber in second and the Rensselear County Regional Chamber in third.

The ARCC’s 15.91% growth in membership from 2006 to 2007 was the highest percentage growth of the 19 chambers included in this listing. “We’ve added more than 130 members already in 2007,” noted Todd Shimkus, President/CEO of the ARCC. “Our growth is a combination of our region’s economic progress, an aggressive outreach effort and the development of new value-added benefits for our members. The more members we have the better we can be as an advocate for our region’s employers and the more networking opportunities we can make available to our members."
