Putting Pen to Paper for Change

An Update on Hillsboro:

The local delegation that traveled to Hillsboro recently met to begin the process of developing a formal plan. The plan is designed to share the knowledge and understanding gained on this trip with the 120,000 other people in Warren and Washington Counties who have just as great a stake in our region's ability to prepare for and benefit from the future arrival of businesses such as AMD.

A detailed report is being compiled over the coming weeks and the delegation plans to meet again with a facilitator to create a cooperate executive summary that will serve as a handout and the basis for future public presentation. The traveling to Oregon was the easy part. Now the real work begins as we try to move this region forward to improve our competitive position economically as well as to protect and preserve our region’s quality of life. Stay tuned…
