Say It Loud: They're Keeping it Low!

Announced Today:

Warren County will remain one of only 5 counties in all of New York to cap its local sales tax at 3%. That is the outcome of a meeting of the Warren County Board of Supervisors today. The ARCC has been a vocal opponent of a proposed 1% increase in the county sales tax believing the focus should be on reducing expenses first.

We applaud the Board of Supervisors for their thorough study and analysis of the pro’s and con’s of this proposal and more so for the decision to keep our sales tax the lowest in the state. This decision saves local taxpayers from a more than $10 million increase in their taxes. The ARCC has been the only local organization opposing this proposal to attend each of the four prior committee meetings on this matter.
