The American Hockey League today released the 2009-10 regular-season schedules for its 29 member clubs. The Adirondack Phantoms’ 80-game regular-season campaign will begin on Saturday, Oct. 3rd at the Glens Falls Civic Center against the Worcester Sharks.
Following the home opener, the Phantoms will play four more home games in October including the first of six regular season visits by the Albany River Rats on October 17th.
The Phantoms will play 40 home games at the Glens Falls Civic Center and 40 on the road, including a game against the Hamilton Bulldogs at the Bell Centre in Montreal on February 21st, 2010.
“We are thrilled to see an inaugural season schedule that features so many weekend games,” said Mike Thompson, Vice President of Business Operations for the Adirondack Phantoms. “We believe these weekend dates will be advantageous to the schedules of our fans here in the Adirondack region, and we look forward to a competitive but successful first season here in Glens Falls.”
Other highlights of the 2009-10 schedule include a home-and-home New Year’s Eve set against the River Rats, an early season visit by the defending Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears on October 16th and the regular season finale versus Albany on April 10th.
Of Adirondack’s 40 games at the Glens Falls Civic Center, 32 will take place on Fridays (15), Saturdays (13) and Sundays (4). For a complete schedule, please click here to visit the Adirondack Phantoms website.
