Gail Hamel to Speak at YPO Event

The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Organization will meet on Wednesday, November 10th, 5:30 – 7:30 pm. The networking and program event will be held at Saratoga National Golf Club, 458 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs. The event features speaker Gail Hamel, Hamel Resources, LLC. The cost is $10. This event is co-hosted with the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Network and is sponsored by SUNY Adirondack Alumni.

Hamel will present: Interacting with the public. Whether it is one on one or in a large crowd – public interaction can be intimidating. Mastering the art of networking, branding a professional image and building relationships is key to professional success. Participants will review how to comfortably introduce themselves, others and their company. They will overcome the challenges of networking and learn tips for those who are shy or introverted as well as getting past the intimidation of networking with “older people.” They will develop and determine the best opportunity to deliver a “30 second infomercial” to articulate the features and benefits of products, services and their company as a whole.

Young Professionals groups provide forums for personal and career development. Participants can improve their networking skills, make contacts among peers from different industries and meet regularly with business leaders in some the area’s popular venues. Attendees must be Chamber members, at the management level of their career, a business owner, or a licensed professional in order to participate in the program.

Appetizers will be provided by Prime at Saratoga National and there will be a cash bar. Reservations are requested. Please register by Monday, November 8th. Contact the Chamber to make your reservations. You can register online, via email or by phone. You can also prepay to attend the event online.
