Strictly Business

You know, working hard is great. Nose to the grindstone, early bird getting the worm and all that, but there is something to be said for weaving business and pleasure - call it creating balance. The ARCC continually strives to be on the cutting edge of professional enrichment opportunities, (sometimes the "rich" in "enrichment" speaks a little louder, as in Tuesday's winning $10K putt) but most of the time it's simply finding innovative ways to allow people to cultivate new leads and forge new relationships.

A few weeks back, a group from Glens Falls National used the Third Thursday Mixer at The Docksider to regroup as a team.

Clockwise from left: Mary Beth Casey - Warren County Election Commissioner, John Corcoran, Dave Kaiser - Glens Falls National Bank, Bob Hafner, Esq. - Miller Mannix, Schachner & Hafner, John Davidson – Jointa Galusha, Josh Engel, Tom Murphy, Pam Davidson, Beth Hajeck - GFNB, Linda Murphy.

The 2007 Summer Mixer schedule is brilliantly green with possibility. The June, July and August Mixers will be held at area golf courses. How does this enrich professionally?

A lot of business gets handled on the course, who couldn't use some practice? Golf is a game that often unlocks the deepest pockets of stress a person has as it is one of the most consistently reliable sources of true comedy and it could be worse, I could be that guy reassurance. And, for some, it simply offers a return to nature, looking out over the lush landscape. Then again, perhaps it creates lawn envy. For that might I suggest checking out the ARCC online membership directory as we have a wonderful roster of folks that fall into the category of grass and garden whisperers.
