Coming Full Cycle

Help local companies succeed, grow and thrive

You hear it from us all the time. You don't always get to see it. Right now the ARCC is doing it through involvement in the ACC Summer Enrichment Program and The Apprentice - Adirondack Style.

“You’re hired!” In this Apprentice-style class, no student will be “fired.” Instead learn skills to get “hired” or to start your own business some day. Students will be organized into teams and will complete a range of fun and engaging tasks with a focus on leadership, brainstorming ideas, management, teambuilding, marketing, and sales. Local business executives from the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce will facilitate this program and serve as mentors. You will work with executives and professionals from several area companies to complete one task or challenge per week. Student teams will select Project Managers and make presentations to participating business owners and managers.

One of the member companies that is participating this year is Inside Edge, providing education and killer products.

After a whirlwind day learning about U brakes and chromoly steel, the two teams, RT and the Mighty Pandas, shifted gears and began grinding toward successful blog entry promos for the bikes. Tomorrow they'll present and find out which post achieves max air time.

Stay tuned.
