Hudson River Community Credit Union Hosts Golf Classic To Benefit Area Youth Organizations

Hudson River Community Credit Union’s (HRCCU) Fourth Annual Golf Classic will be held on Friday, August 13th at Airway Meadows Golf Club, Gansevoort, New York. The goal of the Golf Classic is to support youth programs in our region. The beneficiaries for this year’s event include the Glens Falls Area Youth Center, the Cohoes Community Center and The YMCA of Saratoga - Corinth Branch.

The Glens Falls Area Youth Center offers a comprehensive Youth Services and Recreation Program designed to enhance the lives of disadvantaged youth ages 10-18. The Youth Center, founded in 1968, is the only teen drop-in facility of its kind in the area and is open throughout the year. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will provide meals for the teens who visit the youth center. The Center prepares 250 meals a week totaling 12,000+ meals a year.

For 39 years, The Cohoes Community Center has provided recreational, educational, vocational, and cultural programs for the City of Cohoes and ultimately the greater Capital Region. The Center is open to the public and provides a community gathering space for people of all ages. The proceeds for the Golf Classic will provide year round After School and Weekend Programs free for youth ages 7 - 18.

The YMCA of Saratoga - Corinth Branch will use their proceeds from the Golf Classic to benefit their Free Swimming Program for youth ages 6 to 12 and The After School Enrichment Program, which offers activities, games and crafts for students in grades K - 5.

The Classic will feature a Hole-in-One vehicle sponsored by Enterprise Car Sales, a fun-filled day of golf, food, prizes and a wonderful opportunity to make lives better for youth in our region. The golfer’s cost for the Classic is only $110 per person and covers golf fees, cart, beverages on the course, goodie bag, lunch and barbeque dinner. Mulligans will be available for an additional cost!
