AAA Northway to Sell Insurance Products

AAA Northway announced last week that it has expanded its products and services line to now offer personal lines insurance products including automobile, homeowner, renters, motorcycle, RV and boat insurance. AAA Northway is also planning to offer unique insurance products including Pet and Wedding Insurance. While anyone in the AAA Northway territory can purchase their insurance products, the Club will be able to offer their members special discounts if they purchase insurance through the new agency. The agency, Club Insurance Services, will be marketed under the name AAA Insurance.

“This is a very exciting time for AAA Northway,” said Anthony Metivier who was named Director of Operations for Club Insurance Services in early 2010. “As part of an initiative with AAA Clubs across the country, we are delighted to be able to provide these value-added insurance products,” Metivier said. According to Metivier, what sets AAA Northway apart from other insurance agencies in the area are the products they are able to offer as well as the discount for members who wish to purchase insurance through the agency. “We have partnered with some great carriers that no other agencies in the AAA Northway area currently write with. These carriers understand and embrace the AAA philosophy and cater to our members with their individualized products, superior claims service and of course a generous member discount,” Metivier said.

AAA Northway serves 144,000 AAA members in 10 Upstate NY counties, has branch offices in Plattsburgh, Queensbury, Saratoga, Amsterdam and Schenectady and recently announced plans to open their first auto repair facility and branch office in Halfmoon. An insurance service center will be located in AAA Northway’s Queensbury office. “Our insurance agents and service representatives are required to be licensed to sell products in New York State and have also completed an extensive internal training program and AAA orientation as well,” said Metivier.
