SECOND ANNUAL “AGING WELL FORUM” TO BE HELD AT SUNY ADIRONDACK



Queensbury, NY – The Glens Falls Home, Inc. will once again provide a day of continuing education for area seniors, their families, and their caregivers on Saturday, November 6, 2010 with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the SUNY Adirondack Scoville Learning Center.

The Aging Well Forum is a collaborative project of The Glens Falls Home, Inc. and SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education. The forum will open with words of welcome from SUNY Adirondack President Dr. Ronald Heacock and Glens Falls Home, Inc. Executive Director Frank Mezzano.

Classes will begin at 9:15 a.m. with a choice of eighteen workshops in six concurrent sessions. Classes will include such subjects as: legal matters, health issues, Medicaid , Medicare, Planning & Investments, alternative medicine, staying in touch (Facebook), staying connected (volunteering, socializing, continuing education), and how to stay safe from scams and fraud. A luncheon for all attendees will follow at noon. At one o’clock an otherwise serious day will end on a high note when attendees will be treated to a speech entitled, “H.A.H.A.”(Healthy Aging – Humorous Aging) given by well-known speaker, Margie Ingram.
