The Alliance for Regional Stewardship recently honored the ARCC at its national convention as a finalist for the ARS Regional Champion Award. The ARCC was selected for this special honor based on the chamber’s leadership in helping to mobilize our community’s “Live United This Winter” initiative. Pictured from left to right are the five finalists: Todd Shimkus, ARCC President; Shelley Lauten, President of myregion.org with the Orlando Regional Chamber; Myrita Craig, Executive Director of Agenda 360 with the Greater Cincinnati Chamber; Kristi Smith Wyatt, Senior Vice President of the Greater Kansas City Chamber; and Mike Metzler, President/CEO of the Greater Santa Ana Business Alliance. While Agenda 360 was named the winner, the judges noted that the action strategies our region sought to accomplish were the most practical and measurable of all the many nominees from across the country.
